41 years ago director Andrzej Żuławski released a sinister film upon the world and its cult infamy still lives on today…

Possession (1981)

It doesn’t matter what type of horror fan you are, this movie is a definite must-see and the mark it will leave on you after is sure to be lasting.

A complete masterclass of filmmaking and filled with more thrills, twists, and wtf moments than audiences were ready for in the ’80s and is still talked about in high esteem by genre fans four decades later.

My guest Rehema Ngongo (photographer, playwright, diehard horror fan) drops by the show to discuss all the hidden details, film theories, and gives some understanding to the crazy world that Żuławski built in the just over 2 hour runtime.

Ngongo explains what makes Possession their favorite movie, why its deserving of multiple viewings, and explains the history of what made it banned in a number of countries for a variety of reasons.

Outside of the film, Ngongo and I talk about their job working for the Vancouver Island Film Commission, what type of movies are shot in Victoria (Canada), and dream collaborates we would both like to work with in the future.

As an added bonus, for those who have not seen Possession or are looking to revisit it, a link for the film will be below as provided by the Archive.org
