When it comes to Netflix original horror films there have been some standouts over the years, but none quite as powerful on a dramatic level as Remi Weekes‘ 2020 directorial debut His House.

His House (2020)

Weekes managed to both capture the claustrophobic atmosphere of a haunted house thriller, while additionally tackling a jarring look at the struggles of refugees immigrating into horrific living conditions of impoverished life in London, England.

On this episode of No Stranger to Horror, my guest (who is also my best friend) Luna Meresa and I, tackle this spooky film while connecting our personal experiences with immigration, ghost stories, and much more!

Join us as we break down which scenes scared us the most, get distracted and discuss Netflix teen rom-coms, and even begin to plan some Halloween ghostly adventures along the way.

Episode and show notes are available here or where ever you listen to your podcasts!
